The SQBOARD Eco
The SQBOARD Eco is smooth surfaced, non-combustible, inert and water resistant. It can be used in most applications to replace and improve upon the results of wood, gypsum and cement based construction boards.
SQBoard Eco's principle raw material is Magnesium Oxide. The board is fiber reinforced.
SQBoard Eco’s standard dimensions are 1,200mm x 2,400mm. SQBoard Eco is supplied in a range of thicknesses from 6mm to 20mm and manufactured to EN12467:2012

Even though SQBoard Eco is not affected by water, insects or fire, we recommend that you store SQBoard Eco MgO in a dry, covered area not allowing the product to bow, or sit direct on the ground. Use standard wood working equipment when trimming or cutting to size; circular saw or jig saw or a quick score and snap using a carbide blade scoring knife (depending on thickness of the board). Very comparable handling to drywall or cement based boards without the concern for silicosis.
Nails and screws must be corrosion-resistant, galvanized, or stainless steel self tapping cement screws. SQBoard Eco recommends the use of quality, hot-dipped galvanized nails. Screw fasteners for the installation of SQBoard Eco shall be corrosion-resistant, self-drilling, self-tapping screws. SQBoard Eco can be hand nailed or fastened with pneumatic tools to help control the depth that the nail is driven down.
Comparison of our standard construction board to other common used products.
Patching — Dents and chips can be filled with a cementitious patching compound or elastomeric filler.
Caulking — A high quality, paintable caulk is recommended. For best results, use caulks that comply with either ASTM C834 or ASTM C920. Caulking should be applied in accordance with caulking manufacturers’ written instructions.
Painting — For best results, SQBoard Eco should be primed first and then painted with 100% acrylic topcoat(s). Multiple topcoats will extend the life of the painted surface and the board.

SQ Board for Clean Care applications (Previously MFR Mould and fungal resistant): SQ Boards are inert and Mould and Fungal Resistant. The product has been specifically designed to replace and improve upon results of existing products ideally suited for use where cleanliness is of the essence, for example in kitchen or medical environments.
SQ Board for Premium Fire applications: SQ Boards are inert, class A1 non-combustible fire resistant and produce zero smoke and zero spread of flame. The SQ Board is a class 0 building product and can withstand constant exposure to high temperatures. SQ Board can be used in most fire applications to replace and indeed improve upon the results of existing products.
SQ Board for Acoustics: SQ Board provides superior acoustic reduction properties and can be used to replace and indeed improve the results of existing construction products, it is a perfect choice if noise pollution or noise transfer is of a concern.
SQ Board for Marine applications : SQ Board is inert, retains it's integrity in water and is water resistant, it is a designed to be used where the board would come in contact with water constantly or extremely regularly. It can be used in most wet applications to replace and improve upon the results of existing construction products
